The sunflower seeds are partially oiled by pressing and then ground into fine flour. Sunflower flour is gluten-free and contains few carbohydrates. With only 12 g of carbohydrates per 100 g, sunflower flour contains around 83% fewer carbohydrates than 100 g of conventional wheat flour - making our special flour low in carbohydrates. It is rich in fiber and protein and contains selenium, manganese and zinc.Manganese contributes to healthy connective tissue and magnesium supports healthy muscle and nerve function. Uses: Delicious sunflower seed flour is great in low-carb cooking, for sweet or savory baking. Replace about 15-20% of the normal amount of flour and proceed as usual in the recipe. It also enhances sauces, soups, dips and spreads. Recipe suggestion: BIO Sunflower Spaetzle 190 g organic wholemeal flour, 60 g organic sunflower flour, 100 ml water, 100 ml organic hay milk,salt, 1 organic onion, 4 organic eggs, 60 g organic sunflower seeds, organic chives. Preparation: Quickly mix flour, sunflower flour, egg, water, milk and salt in a mixing bowl to form a dough. Bring salted water to a boil and press the dough in batches through a spätzle sieve into boiling water. After 3 minutes, remove with a strainer and rinse. Peel and finely chop onion. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion, add spaetzle, beat eggs and mix well and sauté. Arrange the eggs-sunflower spaetzle on plates and serve with roasted sunflower seeds and chives.
