Since then, the plant has been cultivated in monastery gardens throughout Europe. It is one of the best researched plants in the pharmaceutical industry. The active substances it contains are known as silymarin. In the Waldviertel this plant is grown in BIO quality and from there we obtain the seeds. We press our high-energy organic milk thistle oil from the seeds, which are also the fruit. The oil is extremely tasty and very suitable for cold cuisine.
