We obtain our coconuts in the form of gently dried (below 40 degrees Celsius) coconut flakes from controlled organic cultivation in Sri Lanka. All important ingredients are completely preserved and result in a very high-quality, natural fresh cooking oil through our water-cooled pressing process. And although coconut oil is rich in saturated fatty acids (there is a big difference to animal fatty acids), it holds a wealth of extremely helpful properties. The fatty acids of the coconut are almost water-soluble and therefore reach the liver without further ado via the bloodstream. There - and this is the next advantage - they are readily used by the body for energy production and less readily stored in the fat depots. Applied to the skin, it repels ticks.
